<description>No matter what kind of filmmaker you are, you would like to win an Academy Award®. We’re not going to force you to admit it now, but you’re not as cool or cavalier as Marlon Brando. We know you want to win one. And Slamdance can help…

We are very proud to announce recipients of the Slamdance Jury Awards for Narrative Short, Animated Short and Documentary Short qualify for consideration in their respective categories for the Annual Academy Awards® without the standard theatrical run, provided the film otherwise complies with the Academy rules.

Here are the lists of qualifying festivals from the Academy Awards® website:

Documentary Short Subject: http://www.oscars.org/awards/academyawards/rules/86/pdf/86aa_doc_shorts_film_festival_list.pdf

Narrative Short Subject/Animated Short Subject: http://www.oscars.org/awards/academyawards/rules/shorts/shorts-festival-list-2012.pdf
